Philip Warren

Fairtrade has lost a stalwart supporter with the recent death of Philip Warren who has been a Director of Traidcraft, a Traidcraft rep for years and a speaker on Fairtrade. He ordered and supplied goods to a number of local groups and every year, he and his wife Dot have held a three day Open House to sell Traidcraft goods. Despite his illness, they sold over £3,100 worth of goods at their event this year. Philip and Dot have visited a number of Traidcraft projects and in 2014 travelled to Ghana. The picture is of Philip with one of their Ghanaian guides. Philip was a founder member of the Havant Fairtrade group and has contributed enormously over the years. We will all miss him enormously and we plan to dedicate our main event in Fairtrade Fortnight this year to his memory. It’s a community meal (with Palestinian food) at Havant URC on Saturday 12th March
