Oxfam – Portsmouth Action Group

Oxfam works with others to find lasting solutions to poverty and suffering.

The action group in Portsmouth meets monthly and these are examples of what we do::

Campaign on Trade Justice

The group is actively supporting the Trade Justice Movement and recently has been involved with a variety of trade linked work:

  • Stalls to promote Fairtrade products
  • Letter-writing on trade issues
  • Supporting Oxfam’s campaign on Coffee  www.maketradefair.org
  • Displays on Fairtrade in the Central Library
  • Distributing information to supporters.

Campaigning for Trade Justice

Raise funds for Oxfam

We’re also regularly involved with fund-raising – for instance we organise a huge sponsored walk each October – the South Downs Safari
